Bring your wallpapers with you

  • Your own photos: use Google’s Switch to Android app on your iPhone, or back up to Google Photos, then set them from the Android wallpaper menu.
  • Live Photos: open the Live Photo on your iPhone, save it as a video, and move it over. Set it as a video wallpaper.
  • ON Lock Screen wallpapers: ON Lock Screen is on Google Play too, with the same 4K and 8K wallpaper styles, so you can find your favorites again on your new phone.

iPhone wallpapers are sized for iPhone screens, which are slightly shorter than most Android phones. Higher-resolution versions avoid blur when Android crops them — see how to fix wallpaper cropping.

Get the iPhone look on Android

  1. Pick a large, bold clock and center it at the top.
  2. Add one row of small widgets under the clock (Samsung) or keep At a Glance (Pixel).
  3. Use a wallpaper with the subject in the lower half, as on iPhone.
  4. Set notifications to a compact style so they don’t cover the wallpaper.
  5. On Samsung, use Good Lock → LockStar for more control over the layout.

Things Android does differently

Frequently asked questions

Can I make my Android Lock screen look like an iPhone?

You can get close. Choose a large, bold clock, center it, add a couple of widgets under it, and use a wallpaper with the subject in the lower half. Samsung’s Lock screen editor and Good Lock give you the most control.

Is there Photo Shuffle on Android?

Samsung Galaxy phones can rotate several Gallery photos on the Lock screen each time you wake the phone. On other phones, an app like Muzei can rotate images from a folder.

Can I use my iPhone Live Photos as an Android wallpaper?

Not directly. Export the Live Photo as a video on your iPhone, move it to your Android phone, and set it as a video wallpaper on Samsung or with a live wallpaper app.

Do my ON Lock Screen wallpapers work on Android?

Yes. ON Lock Screen is available on Google Play too, with the same 4K and 8K wallpaper styles you know from iPhone.
